Eyes of Shame selected for Venice Production Bridge!!!
The VR film Eyes of Shame was one of 63 projects selected out od more than 240 submissions.
The Venice Gap-Financing Market, organized as part of the Venice Production Bridge, is a platform aiming to support European and international producers of fiction films, documentaries, and immersive projects to secure financing for their projects through one-to-one meetings with potential and pertinent international professionals.
This year’s edition of the Venice Gap-Financing Market will take place from 2 – 4 September 2022 during the forthcoming 79th Venice International Film Festival (31 August – 10 September 2022), and will present 63 projects from around the world in the final stages of development and funding.
Among the 63 selected – out of more than 240 projects submitted – 16 are Immersive projects. One of these is Eyes of Shame, by Tomas Tamosaitis and Emmanuel Rouglan in collaboration with Insomniak, Joni Art, and the Institute for Transmedia Design.
The VR film Eyes of Shame, which follows Eyeless, a 14-year-old Teenager suffering from a behavioral disorder and anorexia, who’s admitted to a problematic teenagers’ hospital for treatment. When Eyeless is pushed to eat, the traumatic memories from her past begin to haunt her, and she starts to lose her grip on reality. Will she find the way to overcome her shame and suffocating guilt – a punishment that she invented for herself for feeling a relief upon her Mother’s death?
Eyes of Shame is a continuation of our Killer, Penguin, Tom, Dollface project, working to prevent psychological and physical violence amongst teenagers, all in a form suitable for them – educational and gamified.
