Mediamorfosis featuring Twisted Tales – a narrative of the future, created today

Mediamorfosis is a space dedicated to analyzing and promoting the development of new narratives, created with the innovative use of technology and based on new consumption habits. The biggest and most important event in Latin America, where numerous experts, practitioners, and professionals lecture and take part at live events, talks, international competitions, trainings, workshops, webinars, and digital publications.

“Yet again, Sara Božanić delivered the most inspiring presentation of the amazing Twisted Tales, one could hear in Medellín and read on social media posts – the reactions of renowned experts and brilliant minds from around the globe, attending Mediamorfosis Colombia and Peru 2018.

On 28 November 2018 in Medellín, Colombia, at the Plaza Mayor Medellín, and on 3 December 2018 in Lima, Peru, professionals for technology, communication, audiovisual industries, and publicity met, debated, dialogued, and presented the most innovative and fantastic projects – the narratives of the future. Indeed, that was the very title of the Mediamorfosis 2018 event: Debating with those who are creating today the narratives of the future.

In Medellín and Lima, Sara shared the stage with the incredible Damian Kirzner, Gabriel Levy, Julie Andem, Mari Magnus, Spencer Hunt, Rosemarie Lerner, Rolando Toledo, and many more. In her lecture, she reviewed the participatory method; i.e. the ways and means to build successful tools and modern storytelling techniques based on the multi-award-winning Twisted Tales: a transmedia experience delivering traditional fairy tales and their characters from a new and empowering perspective.

Sara’s lecture suggested that for a transmedia project to succeed, it has to be participatory, with that participation meaningful for everyone involved, which is why this project was, from the outset, developed and executed through contributions from both children and their parents.

So, are you ready for new participatory methods and co-creation? Are you ready for Twisted Tales? We sure are! Stay tuned!
